What's the difference between Notary Public and Apostille?
A Notary is a lawyer authorised by the Lawyers Council to certify signatures/copies for foreign use (without inspecting content). An Apostille is a state-level certification issued by the MFA under the Hague 1961 Convention, replacing destination-embassy legalisation. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026; in force 28 Feb 2027.
