Can a foreign spouse inherit land in Thailand?

Foreign nationals are restricted from owning land in Thailand. A foreign heir may inherit an interest but is generally required to dispose of the land within a period set by the authorities rather than holding it indefinitely.
Condominium units follow a different regime with a foreign-ownership quota per building, so a condominium is often the practical way to hold Thai residential property in a foreign name.
